Ecto prices have gone down so slowly that the drop rate is, when looked at in view of "the big picture," just fine. Eventually the current stockpile of favor will run out and then prices will stabilize once again. (Unless they repeat the double SS/LB weekend too soon - LOL)

Same here, just came back from FoW full run in hard mode with 3 shards, and really bad drops from chest, as usual...

I don't know on what server you play but my ecto drop sucks, often getting none in a few smite runs, hm or nm doesn't seem to matter.

There's something smelly about your request OP.

Sure, I am all up for more people being able to afford obsidian, but the idea of ecto being under 1k gives me a shudder, and it will be. Ecto is the best judge of the economy and if it is low the ecomy is low. Preferably I would like a few days with no drops in UW because people will be buying ecto and shard from people and material traders rather than farming it.

WHO CARES, with GW2 on the horizon who really cares anymore about ectos or rares.

I could be wrong but, it just sounds like to me you are one of the soooooo many who bought a bunch of ectos at a high price then got stuck with them so, now you need to bitch and hope Anet will take them away for a while so, they will go back up and you can profit from it.

Ectos are far from the best judge of the economy. Besides we have had unlimited access to UW for quite a while now and ectos are holding strong the only thing that will truly make them go down in price is when the demand is no longer there.

If you really want the price of ectos to go up "beg" Anet to offer new armor that requires ectos or a new super cool weapon skin that can only be crafted and takes 250 ectos to make. Then you will see ectos price rise again.

Until them play the game to have fun not to be a greedy bast...

I get shit drops as it is now, do not decrease drop rates!

My Drops outside of UW/FOW is Normal, but once i enter this place it turns in crap....... only reason to go to UW and FOW is for the obsidian blade otherwise that place is a waste of time, even if you not paying for the entry fee.

I used to have 20k in gold 50k in ecto and 3k in shards, before that character got deleted and that is why I claim I have done UW runs and still have under 10k. Even with what I had achieved with that previous character I hadn't reached the 100K CAP.

Where are people seeing this decrease in the cost of ectos? It has maintained the same price for at least a year. It's usually only 2 different increments, 4.9K or 5.5K (vendor price), however recently I've seen other prices, but it still doesn't go below that price and as even gone up to 6K at times. So if you're talking more than a year ago, then yes, price has dropped a bit, but it's stabilized for a long time.
